Among the many core values focused on at Memphis Rise Academy, teachers and leaders encourage the students to hone in on their leadership skills both in and outside of the classroom; to be stewards of community engagement and innovation.
21 Memphis Rise Students have been selected to attend the Bridge Builders COLLABORATE program, a week-long conference to pursue leadership development training and convene with a diverse group of peers.
“Bridges taught you how you can be a leader and still be yourself,” said Monique, a current 8th grade student at Memphis Rise and previous Bridge Builders attendees. “We learned what it takes to actually act like a leader, which was hard but really inspiring.”
Here’s how you can help:
Each student’s enrollment fee is $100 and they want every student to attend without worrying about the cost. $635 of the $2,100 goal has already been raised.
Consider making a donation to these students’ journey towards furthering their leadership experience.
Can’t donate, but still want to help?
