Grizzlies Foundation Hosts Mentor Orientation

The Grizzlies Foundation is seeking mentors for the 2017-18 school year.

The numerous benefits to mentor relationships have been proven. Increased high school graduation rates, healthier relationships and lifestyle choices, higher college enrollment rates and higher educational aspirations, and enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence are just a few of the ways that mentors change students’ lives.

If you or someone you know has been thinking about jumping in, the Grizzlies Foundation is hosting Mentor Orientations for its TEAM Mentor Program on Friday, July 7th from 11:30AM-12:30PM & Wednesday, July 12th from 6PM – 7PM. The Grizzlies TEAM Mentor Program is an after school-based mentoring program for 7th and 8th graders that pairs three volunteer mentors with nine students to form one TEAM. Students and mentors meet once a week for 90 minutes, allowing them to develop meaningful relationships.
