Applications for the TN Arts Commission’s Student Ticket Subsidy go live on August 8th.
TAC founded the Student Ticket Subsidy program in 2010 to increase exposure to the arts for students in public schools across the state. The ticket subsidy can be used to bring artists to schools or pay for field trips to arts and culture events. To date, the ticket subsidy has helped 700,000 students experience the arts by absorbing artist fees, ticket costs, and transportation fees for under-resourced schools.
- Schools may apply for a maximum of $3,000 per fiscal year.
- Funding for STS is allocated per county according to school age population and by demand.
- STS applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are expended.
- Applications must be received a minimum of 30 days prior to the start of the proposed event.
Note that all schools must be registered in the Commission’s online grants system to apply. Schools are encouraged to register before August 8.
